Breakfast in Hotel Broken Column
It is an excellent small hotel located in the heart of historic old city in short walking distance from the main tourist attractions. The street itself is lovely with lots of restaurants, beautiful old buildings, and what was important for us, the street was level. The room was with a view of the Marmara Sea , it was very clean , had comfortable bed, quiet air condition. A metal safe and a little fridge were complemented with handy tea-making facilities and free WiFi. The bathroom was large enough. Breakfast was served on the roof terrace with a sea view. Breakfast was very generous with a huge variety of different options every day including Mediterranean and continental food. Staff was very friendly and always happy to help. The staff quickly lifted our heavy suitcases onto the second floor as there was no lift. The only category of tourists who may not find it easy to stay there are people with walking disabilities. A nice feature was that the rooms were named after capital cities of many countries. We lived in the room named Moskau.

Good morning buffet, friendly and helpful personnel. Rooms smallish, but very clean. Reliable WiFi. Location very near the Blue Mosque. I booked two rooms for myself and family and they provided the rooms next to each other, which was very convenient. Nice selection for breakfast buffet with friendly staff (Maya) and also room cleaning ladies were very helpful (Nur, Elena?). They also spoke our language. Very helpful getting in touch in advance by WhatsApp re airport transfer and bookings, thank you Emre! The hotel owner and his son were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our first-time stay in Istanbul at this hotel, and we can highly recommend it!

Felt very safe there. Clean welcoming family run small hotel. Really good breakfast up on covered terrace with great view of Sea of Marmaris. Very comfortable bed with big fat pillows, slept really well. Was told I’d booked an economy room but they’d upgraded me at no extra charge because it was off season. Efficient shower with good hot water. All the staff were lovely even though most spoke very little English (and my Turkish is non existent). No meals served other than breakfast but hotel surrounded by restaurants and bars. Helped me organise travel from and to airport and booked a day excursion for me.

One of the best places to stay in Istanbul. The hotel is beautiful and really central. Easy to walk everywhere. Breakfast was amazing and full of different options, we skipped lunch everyday. On top of it, the kindness, extreme availability and welcoming nature of the stuff. Especially, Masallah who was extremely helpful and friendly. I will definitely recommend it to everyone who looks for an unforgettable stay. Thank you all and looking forward to coming back!!!

All the staff were very friendly, and helpful in booking taxis and tours. The room was comfortable, the aircon worked well. It was small but good value for the price. Our Juliet balcony was great to open and watch the busy street below, and the double glazing really shut off the noise at night. The very best thing was the location in the old city was excellent and within easy walking distance to many of Istanbul's famous sightseeing areas, and a tram station.
